The defendant was stopped by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputies for allegedly speeding in his vessel in a no wake zone. The arresting officer noted that the defendant appeared to be confused, his speech was slurred, and his eyes were bloodshot. The defendant admitted to the officers that he had consumed four cans of beer. The officers conducted a BUI investigation and had the defendant do a series of field sobriety exercises. After the investigation the defendant was arrested for BUI. The defendant refused breath testing. The defendant was found not-guilty by jury.
